Many computer users got their start with the #TRS-80, the #Tandy Color Computer, or the Model 100 portable computer. This program looks at the role Radio Shack played in the early launch of personal computers and the hordes of users who still love their old Tandy PCs. Featured demonstrations include the Tandy 2500 SX/20, the Tandy 4033 LX, the GRiD 1550cd, the GRiD 325sc. Also shown is the original TRS-80 and some of the earlier cassette based software such as Dancing Demon. This tool will analyze your location to determine which broadcast television signals are available in your area. It will compute the expected signal strength for every channel "in the air" at your location, including adjustments for transmitter power, terrain obstructions, curvature of the Earth, and other factors that affect signal availability. This information can help determine the relative signal strengths of stations that are potentially within reach of your location. It can also come in handy when trying to troubleshoot reception problems.
In order to begin the analysis, you must first enter a location.
At a minimum, you can simply enter a zip code. This will give you a rough idea of what TV transmitters are in your area. However, if you want a more accurate analysis, you should enter a more precise location. For privacy reasons, exact addresses and coordinates will be not be shown in the output.
The correct antenna will maximize your reception of free, over-the-air television channels from your local broadcasters.
With an antenna that is too weak, you may not receive all of the local channels available to you. An antenna that is too powerful may lead to poor reception on some channels due to interference from distant stations.

Optimal television reception relies on a clear line-of-sight between your location and a station's tower. Typically, the closer you live to the tower, the better the reception of its signals. However, many variables, such as distance, terrain or nearby structures, may impact which antenna you will need to receive those signals.
To simplify choosing the correct outdoor antenna, the CEA and the NAB have created a color-coded labeling standard for classifying antennas by type. Antennas labeled for a particular type will share common reception capabilities and directional qualities, regardless of manufacturer.
