This site is the result of an effort to preserve Color Computer software and documentation. I've been collecting Coco related files since 2002: cartridges, cassettes, virtual disks, ROMs, music, pictures, manuals, books, magazines, Radio Shack catalogs and more. I also scanned several manuals and books to add to my collection, which is now available to the Coco community.
Many thanks to Steve M. for his prodigious Rainbow restoration project and for providing numerous manuals to the archive!
Device Side Data's flagship product is the FC5025 USB 5.25" floppy controller. The FC5025 plugs into any computer's USB port and enables you to attach a 5.25" floppy drive. Even if your computer has no built-in floppy controller, the FC5025 lets you read those old disks. And it's not just for IBM PC disks – it also understands formats used by Apple, Atari, Commodore and TI, among others.

Over the past few weeks, #Zoom's use has exploded since it became the video conferencing platform of choice in today's COVID-19 world. (My own university, Harvard, uses it for all of its classes. Boris Johnson had a cabinet meeting over Zoom.) Over that same period, the company has been exposed for having both lousy privacy and lousy security. My goal here is to summarize all of the problems and talk about solutions and workarounds.
In general, Zoom's problems fall into three broad buckets: (1) bad #privacy practices, (2) bad #security practices, and (3) bad user configurations.
You can mount and manipulate hard drives and partitions, monitor networks, rebuild boot records, install other operating systems, and much more. #Finnix includes the latest technologies for system administrators, hundreds of sysadmin-geared packages, and much more. And above all, Finnix is small enough to quickly download and write to a USB thumb drive or burn to a CD. Finnix is not intended for the average desktop user, and does not include any desktops or productivity tools in order to keep distribution size low.

#Adobe is shutting down service for users in #Venezuela in order to comply with a US executive order issued in August that prohibits trade with the country. The company sent out an email to customers in Venezuela today to let them know their accounts would be deactivated, and posted a support document further explaining the decision.

"All of this applies to meetup.com as well as eventbrite.com
There are two things wrong with eventbrite.com. The superficial flaw is that it requires running nonfree Javascript code. That's superficial in the sense that it could be fixed easily, but it's a fatal flaw until they do fix it; running nonfree Javascript code deprives people of freedom, people ought to refuse to run it, and it is wrong to ask users to run it. See The #Javascript Trap : http://gnu.org/philosophy/javascript-trap.html
The deeper problem of using eventbrite to register people for an event is that it collects data about them and gives it to a company (with big brother reading over its shoulder).
If you want to register attendees for an event of any kind -- whether it is for business, for pleasure, for education, or whatever, please do it the ethical way: don't make them run any nonfree software, and don't make them send personal data (not even to you). That's how the #FSF does it. We don't insist on getting a person's real name. When we charge for attendance, we accept payment in cash at the door.
When you invite specific people to a private party, perhaps you know exactly who is coming because each one is your friend. It is natural for you to know that — just don't dox your friends to a company such as eventbrite! "

This #Python project emulates a #Hue Bridge. It's Free software under #GPLv3 and #Apache licenses. After Installation, it is possible to control and manage
– ZigBee lights (using Raspbee module, original Hue Bridge or IKEA Tradfri Gateway),
– Mi-Light bulbs (using MiLight Hub),
– Neopixel strips (WS2812B and SK6812) and
– any cheap ESP8266 based bulb by replacing the firmware with a custom one.
Written in Python, making it suitable to run on all small devices such as the RaspberryPi.
Arduino sketches are provided for the Hue Dimmer Switch, Hue Tap Switch and Hue Motion Sensor.
Lights are two-way synchronized so any change made from original Sensors and Switches will also be applied to the Bridge emulator.
